Volunteer with us (it's now or never!)

Plus, last minute tips for voting.

I’ll get right to the point. We need your help this weekend. The margins in Georgia are razor thin, and YOU have the ability to change the course of history. Truly.

As we do every week, we will launch volunteers from Candler Park. We offer training, materials, and the opportunity to pair up with others if you come alone and you’d like a partner.

We knocked over 3500 doors last week! And we had blast. And this week, we have an ambitious plan to hit double that number of doors!

But we are changing things up a little.

  1. In addition to volunteers who are willing to engage in conversations with voters at the doors, we are looking for folks who will simply drop off literature. No speaking involved! This is the perfect option for our more introverted friends.

  2. In addition to shifts on Saturday (10 am - noon) and Sunday (1 - 3 pm), we’re offering a shift on Monday (10 am), too.

Last Minute Tips for Casting your Ballot

  • If you haven’t cast your ballot yet, today is the last day of Early Voting. Please go today!

  • If you vote in person on Election Day, you must vote at your assigned precinct. If you go to the wrong precinct, your vote may not count. Find your polling place at mvp.sos.ga.gov

  • If you are voting by mail, it is TOO LATE TO MAIL YOUR BALLOT BACK NOW. Hand deliver your ballot to your central county election office between 7 am and 7 pm on Tuesday, November 5. For DeKalb voters, that’s 4380 Memorial Dr # 300, Decatur, GA 30032. Or, forget about the mail in ballot and go vote in person.

  • Who can return a mail in ballot for a voter? The relative of a voter (mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, spouse, son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law) OR someone living in the same household as the voter. If the voter is physically disabled, a caretaker can return his or her ballot.

  • And if you have any problems or concerns on election day, please call the voter protection hotline at 888-730-5816.

LET’S DO THIS!

Get in Touch

There are several ways you can share your concerns, request assistance, or let me know about activities in our neighborhoods.

The best way to get in touch is through the contact us form on my website. But, you can also reach me by calling the office (404-656-0265), sending an email to [email protected], or visiting the Capitol. My office is 604-D in the Coverdell Legislative Office Building across the street from the Capitol.

Support this Work

The work to turn Georgia blue is not possible without donor support. Your contribution goes toward staff salaries, operations, and communications with voters (like this newsletter!).

If you found value in this newsletter, or if value what I bring to the Georgia legislature, please consider supporting my campaign today.

Contributions to Friends of Saira Draper are not deductible for tax purposes. State law allows individuals, corporations, and Political Action Committees to contribute a maximum of $3,300 for the primary, $1,800 for the runoff, and $3,300 for the general election.

Yours in service,
